I’m very proud of this book. It has lots of great stories about people I’ve worked with, guidance for how to connect to people experiencing psychosis, understand them, and help them recover, as well as plenty of practical tips.

But before it sinks to the bottom of the Amazon sea, I need your help with three things:

Since I published this book in 2021, it has persistently sold about a book per day and gotten very good reviews. It’s designed like a travel guidebook to help people “travel” more comfortably and knowledgably with psychotic experiences. The first part introduces me and my Psychosis Triangle model for understanding psychosis and explains why I’m rebelling against our current model and trying to create a more humane, hopeful approach. The middle chapters are various “journeys” reflecting different ways of approaching psychotic experiences ranging from grief and trauma to personal development to mental and physical illnesses and substance use. The last part is “practical advice” for how to deal with all kinds of challenges while striving to recover. I know it’s a long book, but it’s easy to read for anyone and you can skip to the chapters you’re most interested in.
