It’s understandable that our first reactions to being asked to evaluate someone who is psychotic is to suspect that they will be difficult to understand and connect with. Even people who are comfortable and humanistic with people with mental illnesses generally, may hesitate when faced with psychosis.
Awesome article- especially creating a story of reality with the person that centers on their life vision goals instead of the medical model Which is usually *at* instead of *with* the patient. I really recommend adding DBT skills as well into the patients plan for distress tolerance
